Every projection depends entirely on the assumptions entered — investment returns, salary growth, contribution amounts, and inflation are all held constant for simplicity, which real markets, incomes, and legislation never do. Actual outcomes will differ, sometimes substantially, from any calculator result. Past or assumed investment performance is not a reliable indicator of future performance.
Simplified Age Pension estimate
The Superannuation + Age Pension calculator uses a simplified model of the Age Pension assets test only. It ignores the income test, deeming rules, non-homeowner thresholds, and other eligibility rules entirely, and the dollar thresholds used are indicative figures checked at a point in time. For an accurate personal Age Pension assessment, use Services Australia's own tools or contact them directly.
